At the end of 2025, the Beat SCAD trustees reviewed their activities, achievements and ‘to-do’ lists from the previous five years and updated our strategic plan for the next five years to focus on key objectives within our mission areas of awareness, support and research.
The Strategic Plan covers the coming five years and represents Beat SCAD's overall mission and we focus on relevant opportunities as they arise and as resources allow. Following on from the launch of the new SCAD Clinics in Scotland and London, we updated our plans to define signposting patients to SCAD Clinics and encourage self-advocacy.
At the Conference in October 2025, we highlighted two key areas of the plan for immediate project focus. We continue to provide community support through events and online forums and services, such as the Buddy Service. We are also expanding our volunteer network and one of our volunteers is heading up this project.
Beat SCAD will continue to apply and develop our compassion, resilience, determination and passion to provide hope to patients, empower the community, build relationships and advance our mission to achieve a world that understands SCAD, where those affected are quickly and accurately diagnosed and never feel alone.
