SCAD survivors walk to raise awareness and funds

19 SCAD patients meet to help raise awareness and support each other

Almost 50 people took part in Beat SCAD’s first annual walk, including 19 SCAD patients, some of whom had never met another SCAD survivor before. Travelling from across the UK, the group met at Beacon Hill Country Park near Loughborough.

The event provided opportunities for both SCAD patients and their families to meet and support each other, raise awareness of SCAD and raise funds for Beat SCAD to continue its mission.

Despite different abilities and fitness levels, everyone completed the walk, enjoying stunning views along the way.

Beat SCAD’s Total Giving fundraising page smashed its target, raising more than £2,700. SCAD survivors Clare and Lucie also raised impressive amounts of money via their Total Giving pages, and we have received other donations too, so thank you to everyone who donated.

Beat SCAD would like to thank everyone who attended, as well as those who supported the event.
